1 Fluid oz. = 30 milliliters (ml)
1 ml  alcohol weighs 0.8 grams
1 gram alcohol = 7 calories
THEREFORE
Start with 1 12 fl.  oz. can of beer
5% beer means alcohol volume is 0.05 X 12 fl. oz. = 0.6 fluid oz.
0.6 fluid oz. X 30 milliliters / fluid oz =  18 ml.
18 ml X 0.8 grams alcohol / ml = 14.4 Grams
