Can Soda Harm Your Body

Can Soda Harm Your Body

Soda and even DIET SODA adds to belly fat, weakness bones, leads to the "metabolic Syndrome".
Metabolic Syndrome = high blood pressure, high cholesterol, high blood sugar and thus diabetes and heart disease.

How do we leave behind the caffeine high, sweet jolt and comforting ritual of popping a can?
21 -28 days to form a new HABIT
1. Write your "manifesto" or what you are going to do and why
2. Find a replacement for the soda - walking, water, ProPel, Vitamin water, make your own water flavors, hobby if drinking is from boredom
3. Words matter "I can't" to be replaced by "I do not drink soda"-  the latter is empowering your brain
4. Tell your friends what you are doing - Make it public
5. Identify times of temptation and avoid them

TidBit = 16 ounces of water before breakfast, lunch and dinner caused participants to lose 6 pounds over 12 weeks in a published study in Obesity. Felt fuller, ate less!!!

Lard may be great, Grandma was right

Lard, Grandma was right??

Eating fat is now accepted as a key to weight loss and health.

Lard is an animal fat and 50% is heart healthy monounsaturated, plus it has less saturated fat than butter

It takes longer to go rancid like other oils

Is a top choice of Vitamin D

And it tastes great.

Buy good quality lard to avoid trans fat e.g. Epic Pork Lard

Note Prevention Magazine 3/2016
discussed nutrition bars and our bars are priced right and better nutrition and clean production

We work hard to keep track of all the information.

How to reduce health care costs for you, your family and company

Americans spent $ 3,200,000,000 dollars that is 3.2  trillion dollars on health care and this amounts to $10000 per person in the USA.

We do NOT rank #1 in health care in ANY international measurement

Chronic diseases are the #1 cause and they are in general preventable or lessened by healthy living and reasonable weight maintenance.

Three most expensive diseases are diabetes, heart disease back pain - all associated with excess weight. 50% of diabetes spending is on drugs. However 70% of back pain dollars was on working age adults.

38% of health spending is on people over 65 years of age.

The biggest opportunity for savings on health care is prevention - healthy weight maintenance, no smoking, minimal alcohol, good sleep, and physical activity.
