EATING HABITS INFECTIOUS

What your children eat NOW will affect their habits in the future!!

17% of children ages 2-17 are obese

Young people who age healthy gained significantly less weight as they entered their 20s

Parents eating healthy were more likely to have children eat healthy

Strategies
     Stock fridge with vegetables, fruits, and whole grains
     Clear out the processed foods sand the fatty salty foods
     Serve only lean meats
     Learn portion sizes
     Steer clear of sugar and sweets
     Moderation and mindfulness teaching
   
Exercise together as a family

keep TV and computers to a minimal

Shut off electronics at 9 so sleep can be restful
